Do you book flights and hotels directly?
2
Aurea provides curated flight and accommodation recommendations as part of your itinerary design. All reservations are completed directly by the client to maintain clarity and flexibility.
For full-service concierge engagements, we oversee planning and coordination, while travel bookings remain under your direct control.
Are vendor costs included in your pricing?
3
Vendor services are separate from Aurea’s planning fee.
We provide refined vendor recommendations, coordinate logistics, and oversee execution, while maintaining full transparency around third-party costs.
No hidden markups. No inflated pricing.
How far in advance should I inquire?
4
We recommend inquiring 3–6 weeks in advance for Signature Experiences.
High-demand seasons — including proposal periods, holidays, and spring cherry blossom dates — may require additional lead time.
Aurea accepts a limited number of engagements each month to preserve quality, attention to detail, and discretion.
Do you offer payment arrangements?
5
Select engagements may qualify for structured payment schedules depending on scope and timeline.
All engagements require a non-refundable retainer to reserve your date and initiate planning.
What is your cancellation policy?
6
Planning retainers are non-refundable once work has commenced.
Vendor policies vary and are governed by each partner’s contractual terms.
In the event of a necessary reschedule, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate date transfers based on availability.
Where does Aurea operate?
7
Aurea currently focuses on curated experiences within the DMV region (Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia).
Our boutique model prioritizes depth, relationships, and refined local partnerships over volume expansion.
What makes Aurea different from a traditional travel agent?
8
Aurea is not a high-volume booking service.
We design private, detail-driven experiences for clients who value precision, discretion, and seamless coordination.
Every engagement is tailored. Nothing is template-based.
Can you accommodate last-minute requests?
9
Where availability permits, expedited engagements may be considered.
Rush planning fees may apply for requests within 7–14 days of travel or event dates.
Availability is never assumed. It is confirmed upon inquiry.
